The External Advisory Board  |
The Administrative Core has constituted an External Advisory Board as a harbinger of scientific, political, economic, technological and social changes that may have an impact on risk assessment and remediation of hazardous substances. Our current External Advisory Board is composed of scientists with expertise that covers the breadth of our research projects. To encourage the critical exchange of ideas between investigators/students and the External Advisory Board, the Board is invited to attend one of our annual meetings where they can interact “one on one” with our investigators. An annual board meeting provides a forum for Board members to provide input to the Principal Investigator and members of the Internal Advisory Board regarding research advances, the relevance of the outreach activities, and the effectiveness of information transfer and dissemination activities.

Objectives of the External Advisory Board
- Evaluate the scientific content of our Program.
- Make recommendations regarding future research directions for UA-Superfund research.
- Evaluate the Research Service Core for its effectiveness.
- Suggest pilot areas where our research projects should go in the future.
