The Internal Advisory Board


The Internal Advisory Board works with our Program's Director and Associate Director to promote and stimulate interactions among and between the research projects. Members on the Internal Advisory Board represent their discipline to our multidisciplinary SBRP. The role of the Internal Advisory Board is to provide input regarding the status of projects and cores and to generate ideas for maximizing collaborations between investigators. The Internal Advisory Board meets with the Director and Associate Director every 4 months to assess the status of the SBRP and discuss future directions.

Objectives of the Internal Advisory Board

  • Facilitate integration of cross-disciplinary research.
  • Determine if the Cores are functional and serving our SBRP.
  • Determine if the Hazard Identification Core is providing adequate analyses.
  • Determine if there are additional faculty/researchers that should be added to SBRP.
  • Suggest additional grants that SBRP should be pursuing.
  • Determine if the interactions with other SBRP programs are adequate and working.
