On November 2nd 2007, A. Jay Gandolfi, UA SBRP Director and Co-Director of the US-Mexico Binational Center was awarded the UA, College of Pharmacy's Findlay E. Russell M.D., Ph.D. Distinguished Citizen Award.

This award recognizes Dr. Gandolfi as an individual who has helped further the College of Pharmacy’s mission to promote the health and well-being of our citizens by providing the nation's highest quality education, research, and service and inspiring responsible, compassionate leadership in the profession. In addition, Dr. Gandolfi continues to provide leadership to the community, and make a positive impact on the state and nation.
Within the past year, Dr. Gandolfi has given four toxicological presentations to communities neighboring contaminated sites in Arizona. In addition, he has served on numerous committees, including editorial advisory boards and is an active member of many scientific societies.
