Former SBRP Student Gives Back  |
| Former SBRP student Mr. Jacob Torrens of Geomatrix Consulting (Oakland, California office) came back to the University of Arizona to present a seminar entitled "A Survey of Environmental Consulting". This seminar was co-sponsored by the UA SBRP, the Department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science and the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering. Mr. Torrens received his M.S. degree in Environmental Science in 1997 and has been working as an environmental consultant ever since. As expected, his seminar was well attended, especially by environmental science and environmental engineering students (both undergraduate and graduate) who are considering environmental consulting as a career. Mr. Torrens has offered to continue to advise these students via email and video conferencing and also will return for future seminars and participation in a UA Careers class. |  |
