Making a Difference: Denise Moreno, UA SBRP Outreach Coordinator presented "Arsenic and Your Drinking Water"


On February 14, 2006 UA SBRP Outreach Program Coordinator, Denise Moreno presented a lecture titled “Arsenic and Your Drinking Water” at The OASIS Institute in Tucson, Arizona. Denise gave a general overview of arsenic, how it affects your drinking water and what you can do at home to decrease exposure.

The OASIS Institute is a national non-profit educational organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for mature adults 50 years of age and older. OASIS creates opportunities for older adults to their personal growth and meaningful service to the community.

Not only is Denise working hard to educate our local community on environmental issues, she is also the Coordinator for the U.S. - Mexico Binational Center (Binational Center) for Environmental Sciences and Toxicology; dedicated to promoting stakeholder outreach and information exchange within and beyond the Binational Center and Superfund Basic Research Program.
