The UA SBRP received a 5-year program renewal to continue investigating the hazardous waste and public health issues currently confronting the Southwestern region of the United States, including arsenic, chlorinated hydrocarbon , and mine tailings contamination. The new funding period began April 1, 2005 and will continue through March 31, 2010. For this funding period, the UA SBRP will receive over $14 million.
